Plane: B737-800.
Status: Mileage Member.
Seat: Premium Class.
Check-in: Check-in was pretty quick and with no issue. The agents were very friendly and helpful.
Security: CLEAR and TSA-Precheck.
Terminal A:
Club at CVG – stopped by to grab dinner before my evening flight to SEA. Plenty of space in the lounge and a nice dinner option. It may be on the small side and not as fancy as some other lounges but the staff and dining options are always fantastic here!
Flight: This was my first flight with Alaska and they did not disappoint. The gate agent was pretty funny when calling the various boarding groups and had either a funny/nice comment for each passenger. Definitely set the relaxed atmosphere/mood for the rest of the flight.
Alaska Premium Class seats were very spacious and pretty comfortable. It’s a long flight from CVG to SEA and I was just fine. It helped that the middle seat was empty for the flight which definitely added to the feeling of the seats being spacious.
A pre-departure announcement by the pilot stating passengers should “be ready for some turbulence” had me worried about the severity we’d encounter on the flight. There were a couple of bumpy patches – with one lasting almost an hour – but not as bad as anticipated. It was actually super windy on our descent/landing in Seattle and the pilots performed one of the smoothest landings I’ve ever had! Great flying by the crew!
Despite the bumpiness in certain segments – the flight attendants were able to provide drink/meal service. I had pre-ordered Alaska’s Signature Fruit & Cheese Platter. Though it would have been nice if a full meal was offered – the Fruit & Cheese Platter lived up to the hype.
Great experience with Alaska Airlines!!!
