Plane: B737-800.
Status: Mileage Member.
Seat: Premium Class.
Check-in: Surprisingly fast and easy for the amount of people that were there at 7 am. I was a bit in shock by how busy the airport was so early in the morning.
Security: CLEAR and TSA-Precheck. Thank goodness as the airport was crazy busy on a Monday morning. CLEAR is worth every penny IMO.
N Concourse:
Alaska Flagship Lounge – fortunate enough to have access to this amazing lounge. This is, IMO, one of the best airline lounges in the United States that I’ve been to so far. Plenty of space, lots of good food offerings, incredible amenities…. just an overall great design. It also offers great views of the airport/runways.
I was able to enjoy a nice breakfast and relax in comfort before my flight back home.
Flight: The return leg was just as good as good! I lucked out again and sat in a row with the middle seat empty in Alaska Premium Class. It was plenty spacious and comfortable.
Flight was good but long. Very smooth with very minor turbulence. Interestingly, our route took us up by Chicago before turning down towards CVG.
