My Thoughts:
- The Venture X is by far the easiest travel credit card to use and get positive value.
- There’s no jumping through hoops/tracking monthly credits/figuring out what codes properly for reimbursement, etc. Simply use the Capital One Travel portal and $300 Annual Travel Credit is automatically applied.
- The 10K Miles Anniversary Bonus is worth at a minimum $100 if used through the Capital One Travel portal and potentially more if transferred to a partner airline/hotel.
- Capital One has a strong base of partner airlines to which you can transfer miles including my favorite transfer program – Air Canada Aeroplan.
- Their hotel partners are weak IMO with just Accor Live Limitless, Choice Privileges, and Wyndham Rewards.
- 2X miles on all purchases outside the Capital One Travel portal is better than all other premium travel credit cards.
